John Halkyard
has over 40 years experience in deep ocean system development,
including deep ocean mining and floating production systems (FPS). He
was one of the orginal architects for the very successful Spar concept
for deepwater oil production. Dr. Halkyard retired from industry
in
2007 and has since formed JHA. He is also serving as Visiting Professor
of Maritime Technology at the National University of Singapore,
under sponsorship of the Maritime and Port Authority of Singapore. He
is currently teaching masters level courses on floating structure
design, moorings and risers at NUS, in addition to supervising research
on offshore engineering projects.
The objective
of JHA is to participate
in the front end of interesting and challenging deepwater projects. The
approach is to form a team of subcontractors and consultants suitable
for each project who will work under Dr. Halkyard's direction.
The
following partners are currently working with JHA on successful
